Biography

Introduction

Hatesphere is a Danish melodic death and thrash metal band from Aarhus. The band was formed as a three piece in 1993, and adopted their current name in 2001. They released six albums and two EPs to date.

Biography

Hatesphere released their self-titled debut album in 2001. The Following year, they released Bloodred Hatred. From 2003 to 2005 they released the following, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Black, Ballet of the Brute, The Killing, and The Sickness Within.

In 2007, Hatesphere signed to Steamhammer/SPV and released Serpent Smiles and Killer Eyes. After the release of their fifth album, the band went through many member replacements with only founding member Peter "Pepe" Lyse Hansen remaining. The change apparently did not happen in anger, but was rather a natural thing, since the old members including Jacob Bredahl, Anders Gyldenøhr, and Mikael Ehlert Hansen wanted to focus on other commitments. With the new record To the Nines out (2009), the band has signed with Napalm Records.
