A couple of weeks ago it was announced that Gold Panda would release a CD in the DJ-Kicks series through !K7 records. That's released on October 31 and the opening track is a new, original track from Mr Panda. It's called 'An Iceberg Hurled Northward Through Clouds' and you can now listen to it here, as a lot of people already have done. »
Essex's own Gold Panda is to release the next in the series of DJ-Kicks compilations, being released through !K7 records on October 31 in the UK and November 1 in the US. He joins a long list of excellent acts in releasing one. »

On Monday, we ran a special Leeds day, glancing back at 10 years in Leeds. The reason for this, wasn't just that the city has been high on the awesome-o-metre but that this weekend there's a festival going on in Leeds called Constellations.»

We've been keeping tabs on Gold Panda for a while now - even more so after seeing him live at one of our shows last year. Impressive. So we were quite pleased when he announced the release of his debut record, Lucky Shiner, a few weeks ago. That was originally due to come out in October, but for various reasons which you can probably work out, the record is out now, digitally.»

One-man show Gold Panda has announced a pretty substantial tour - including his first headline dates - and some with the mighty Caribou and SMD - as well as a new single, and confirmation of a debut album, to be released in the Summer of this year.»
London's one-day festival that is Field Day has unloaded the first batch of artists to grace its line-up for the year of the lord 2010, including most-excellent French electronic-rock combo Phoenix - who are the first headliners to be announced - and the, arguably, even more excellent Dan Snaith, alias Caribou.»
