Back at the beginning of the month it was announced that a triumvirate of the most excellent broadly indie-styled bands were to curate and headline a day each at ATP's Nightmare Before Christmas. Now the first curators' picks have been unveiled. »

Has it really been a year since Caribou's absolutely brillo-tastic record Swim came out? Well, around a year anyway, having dropped on the world with the unfathomably excellent 'Odessa'. Back then there was also a video for that, undertaken by Video Marsh. Now they've done one for 'Jamelia' which is another track from Swim. It also happens to be quite good. Watch it here.»
Earlier this month Dan Snaith, aka Caribou, announced that there'd be a release of a remix album of the quite wonderful Swim. This was very much welcomed, given the quality of the original songs. It was welcomed even further when we found out who'd be doing the remixing, with acts like Gold Panda, Junior Boys and Fuck Buttons included on it. »
You know how Caribou's Swim is one of the greatest and biggest records of the year. Well it's not finished just yet, as there's a remix album on the way, featuring some of the finest reworkings and knob tweakers in the whole wide world. Last year's Offset festival was pretty damn good. This year is looking like it's going to be just as good if not even better, judging by the latest lot of additions to the festival's bill. Pretty mouthwatering all in all, including three bands who have produced fantastic records this year, two British, one Canadian. »

France's premiere music festival La Route Du Rock is back for 2010 with a stellar twentieth-anniversary lineup. The Flaming Lips, Massive Attack, Foals, Liars, Caribou, Dum Dum Girls, Owen Pallett and many more play three idyllic stages in French coastal town St Malo.»
It comes to that time of year again. The time where the finest in UK talent gets rewarded with a Mercury Prize nomination. Or so it should be. Of course, we aren't the only country who has a scheme like this - Canada is also in on the act with their Polaris Music Prize, which aims to do something very similar. »
