Bio
[Edit this profile]After six years and three albums, Ben Folds, Robert Sledge and Darren Jesse (aka Ben Folds Five) disbanded leaving Ben to his own devices.
The vanity project 'Fear Of Pop' was first to emerge, full of impromptu rap solos and spoken word supplied by William Shatner. Then came 2001's acclaimed 'Rockin' The Suburbs', a blend of classic power-pop and piano balladry, before Folds relocated to Australia to work on follow-up Songs For Silverman, released 2005. In the three and a half year gap between albums, Folds put out a limited-edition series of three EPs, as well as forming supergroup The Bens with Ben Lee and Ben Kweller.
