Ever wondered what music the people who post on the DiS boards are into? Us too. We've always thought about doing some sort of poll-of-polls, and then - as is often the way with DiS - a member of the community took it upon themselves to start one. The results of which were revealed on the boards too but right here, right now, we can reveal far more than the top 20.»

A couple of weeks ago the Canadian Polaris Prize released their 2011 longlist, which included a lot of great records. As you should but may not know, the Polaris is Canada's equivalent of the Mercury Prize. There, simple. Anyway the longlist has been whittled down to just TEN records and the ten records are listed here.»

I remember back in the days when last.fm was an entirely separate thing to AudioScrobbler. They've been one for a while now and, although it's a service which is more than just stats, the stats are what a lot of people signed up for in the first place. It's also always interesting to see who the most played artists (and their albums) are of a certain time, and last.fm have unveiled the Top 40 of these just recently. »

Earlier in the year hit Canadian collective Arcade Fire released a proper Web 2.0 video (and indeed HTML5) for 'We Used To Wait', taken from their current record, The Suburbs. They've now arguably gone one better in making the video for the title track in roping in super director Spike Jonze to have a bash.»

How many Arcade Fire videos have there been in the last few days? A lot, that's how many. Here's another, by the way, and if not the best of the lot, it's still actually quite decent. It's of the band performing at Hackney Empire the other week. The track in question is 'Ready To Start' which is taken from their current Long Player, The Suburbs. »

We've been waiting far too long for the next Arcade Fire album. The last one was over three years ago now. Hurry up already. Oh, what's this? Some new material? Sweet. Or not. The clips are quite short and obviously don't give a true indication of a) the whole song b) the whole record and c) much. But it's promising from what we hear! Listen for yourself below. Clips are about 10 seconds or so long and will repeat incessantly. »
