Any recommendations for a fresh/clean smelling perfume? I mostly wear sweet smells but wanted a change for summer.
very fresh, quite herby almost.
Body Shop Kistna - cheap
Chanel Allure Blanche - not cheap
I tried Vanilla Ice=cream in the morning, hated it and it was still on my wrist in the evening.
Goodness knows how many times I'd washed my hands too.
Having said that, some of those fragrances are quite nice. Loved Jasmine and Clean Laundry.
Dammit! Thanks to this thread, I have just accidentally ordered a bottle of Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte. Currently 15% off fragrance over £30 on the Boots website if I can tempt anyone to join me...
honestly it's fine and p fresh
smells all powdery like baby powder if you wanna smell like baby powder
theres one that smells like grass after it rains too
I've got two, Grass and Clean Laundry, they were on offer last week, £15 each or 2 for £25. They aren't the longest lasting but a lovely range of individual fragrances.
I've never considered if it has a sweet smell or a fresh one.
got sent two library of fragance ones to review the other week, baby powder and thunderstorm. don't particularly like either of them. dying to get a whiff of the muskier ones with patchouli, amber or oud.
that are fresh and unisex.
Tom Ford neroli Portofino is awesome, I bought it for myself but realised it's defo more men's tan unisex, so I passed it onto my old boy.
Got a bottle of that `Suddenly Madame Glamour` from LIDL for £4. Girlfriend says she can't tell the difference between it and Coco Mademoiselle aside from the fact it wears off quicker (EDT ennit).
Worth a punt at that price!
in the 90s Gap used to make a fragrance called grass which was the nicest thing ever, I've been trying to find a replacement ever since.
The closest I've got is Daisy by Marc Jacobs which smells sort of like grass and sort of like green bananas, it's good.
i have one of each of euphoria, ckin2u, eternity, eternity moment. it's getting silly now.
and people either wore Joop or they didn't. (I didn't, of course)
I want it, but I'm worried people near me will go 'eurgh, why can I smell parma violets?'
You can only really get it at airports and harrods now though, or as part of a gift set that contains a small bottle of the perfume, a large tube of some horrid body lotion that is far too astringent to put on my skin, and a clatty old lady soap.
I have about half a bottle of the perfume left and I ration it out- it's good for hiding boozy smells as it's so pungent.
But my current favourite is Roger and Gallet Thé Vert.
Eau de Cologne 4711 is also lovely.
It's been my summer fragrance for nearly a decade, nothing else comes close.
