are you all watching the england match? i'm watching it alone :(
the banana one is divine
why aren't you out enjoying the nice evening?
I've got a strawberry muller rice in the fridge I'm saving it
I was in kelvingrove park earlier for a while reading a book, it was really nice. totally packed though. but not too noisy.
watching the football now like everyone else is I guess.
I find it's the perfect time to cosily stick an album on, to be honest. Last time, I had the Watter album and a bunch of stuff from the Steve Reich 'Phases' box set; today
BITTE ORCA by the Dirty Projectors
was thinking about trekking to the cinema on Saturday, but there's nothing at the one I go to that I'm that bothered aboot.
I think you're great
obviously they have or you wouldn't be here lol
I was going to offer you either myself or some of my kids to marry you/your kids.
They're going to be great. Put up my new tent in the park before, a man came over and asked if I was selling it and I was like I've only just bought it mate
most satisfying tent I've ever put up/taken down/put away again. Dead, dead easy. Felt brilliant.
I'm going to buy a tent at the weekend
maybe we both just love having a friend that really really likes us and tells us so all the time
has been offered a place on a prestigious course in Venice for the week when our bush night is. Not sure how to do this, he doesn't drive so his only photo ID is his passport which will be in Venice. Blerghhh
it really wouldn't be the ideal context for listening to Steve Reich. That's the sort of thing that could possibly happen in a critically acclaimed psychological thriller
Get a red one like me, so you can find it easily at that glastonbury festival
hmmm mibbe not. its pretty good.
*makes predictable joke*. I'm off to play a music festival this weekend. I'm also very very knackered.
However please don't hate me when you get there and don't get in as you don't have photo ID for the person on the tickets.
I was meant to be my mate tbob but I wasn't. i still got in.
And it has nothing to do with the football.
I would make a thread but no one cares...I can't believe my life is so shit now that even other sensitive depressed people roll their eyes.
That's crushingly sad, I'm pretty mad at myself for fucking it all up so much.
I think they're pretty cool
Are you okay?
They made me cry a little bit then...I haven't cried for about a year.
Can only offer the generic advice of look after yourself, try to talk to other people (about anything) in person, and treat yourself to things that you enjoy
i have a coffee at like 10.30 PM now so i can make use of all the time when my family are sleeping, to read and shit
a lady kept talking about my legs cause i had them out and her and the barmaid spent ages trying to work out who i looked like. a man left and came back with a cucumber. a lady came in with a roast for the barmaid. man kept telling me about his friend in devon who's got a shower in his kitchen. another man was short so pretended he wanted to fight everyone i said he wasn't that short. another man told me to come back soon. a man from liverpool came in and went straight to the legs lady and then when another man started talking to her he got really annoyed and she started saying like "i can talk to whoever i want LIVERPOOL MAN"
for your dissertation? what's it about?
Work on overcoming the being mad at yourself part - is this a disproportionate reaction to whatever it is you have specifically messed up?
it's about: how .people o...n b en efits perci eve and i nterpret their r ights. and how em pirical res earch about th at coul,d inform debates about the we.lf are st at e and the usefulness of r ights f, ra,me works.
that sounds aaaaalright. i was reading about the us benefits system recently, seems fucked up. they give walmart employees like $3 BILLION because walmart are scum and don't pay people enough to live on
i applied to do my project next year on 'complex systems' because it sounded interesting but it turns out a lot of the maths was developed by..... HAYEK. oops
it's not theoretical enough. it's mostly about the methodology i'm using and things like that zzzzzzzz
sounds like you need someone to kiss you better :3
I looked at how social norms around work might interact with benefit systems.
Political theory though, so no research and just looking at things like Weber's protestant work ethic right through to a guy called van Parijs who advocated a universal basic income which might replace a welfare state. Wasn't a particularly popular topic with my lecturers!
anyone want to go to this next weekend?
...next thing that happened was I awoke at 10.50. Made some pasta, and ate it too quickly. Now I don't feel great, and it's too fucking warm, yet again I am in my pants on the sofa watching the football
Do you recommend them?
do you like the satisfying shape of a tubular food going in to your mouth?
do you like chewing?
then YES YOU WILL LOVE KP's BACON FLAVOURED WHEAT CRUNCHIES!
Disclaimer: Only to be consumed when drunk.
going to bed night guys xx
but the TV at the pub I was at was comically small, and the pub was at bursting point so we just went and sat outside and got hammered. Still knew exactly what was going on from the reactions.
