Football Thread for a Bank Holiday Monday
since the weekend football thread is bulging at the seams, largely thanks to a whopping contribution of 91 posts from our lead disinterested non-football-watching expert, a shade short of a quarter of all replies. That kind of dedication shown over two dull days of virtually consequence-free top flight football is commendable beyond all measure, so really, credit to him.
A lot of leagues wrapped up yesterday, including for Juve with what I'm told was a fiesty 1-0 win over Palermo. Great bunch o lads. Stoke versus Sunderland is the first of a clutch of midweek Premier League fixtures, fretful and dull written large in the stars for that one. Is it true Sunderland haven't won on a Monday for more than ten years? Moyes and Ferguson aren't the types to have a little cry over a decision that went against them, so have a little cry over a decision that went against them.
AOB?
