When you meet someone for the first time
and you get on with them very well, they seem sound, but they're enthusiastic about something awful.
What do you do?
So for example, someone new starts at work and on their first day, they're perfectly sound and have nothing wrong with them, but then someone mentions 'The Big Bang Theory', and the new person goes: "Ah I LOVE The Big Bang Theory. It's SO so good isn't it? Just hilarious!" and they look at you.
It's a struggle. Do you pour freezing cold water on their enthusiasm and say "Nah I'm not keen." or do you lie to them, and to yourself and say "Yeah it's great!"?
I hate pouring cold water on things but I've had to do it twice recently. Once when someone was waxing lyrical about Muse and once about The Big Bang Theory.
If it was something I was indifferent towards like brown sauce, I'd be fine. But I can't lie to myself when it comes to more important things.
