BOOK THREAD #183746
Okay then. For the past 2 weeks I've been commuting for two hours and fourty minutes every day. This means I've read LOADS of books. So far:
The Age of Absurdity by Michael Foley (great, some really nailed-on ideas, if a bit pretentious)
Penguin Lost by Andrey Kurkov (not as good as Death and the Penguin)
Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden (about a North Korean guy who was born in a prison camp but escaped, absolutely incredible and moving and upsetting, should be required reading for everyone)
A Visit From The Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan (really didn't like this, confused that it won the Pulitzer TBH, I found the characters abhorrent)
Player One by Douglas Coupland (oh faithful Coupland, I love you)
This morning I started The Savage Detectives. Should be good.
Now you...?
