watched a documentary on Wainwright last night...

Knew of him through the popular but unremarkable ale that you find everywhere nowadays. Have never read the books, but think i'm going to invest in his main set now and maybe go for a couple of weekend mooches.
Seemed like quite an interesting bloke, too. Just basically spend the latter half of his life walking, writing, eating fish & chips and being nice to dogs.
Probably won't be of interest to you if you're a professional southerner who pays about £1200 a month to live in concrete town (something about jellied eels, casual racism and wife-beating).
Anyone read the books?
