flatmate saga spin off
I've posted a lot about what happened with my flatmate last night in chris_is_cool's Genuinely having an awful day....is yours worse?thread http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social/4346771
Thanks everyone who responded and offered advice. I'm at my wit's end again though.
I tried phoning my flatmate's mother and she didn't answer, I then texted saying I didn't want her to be worried by my missed call but I need to know what's going on now. She ignored that evidently as she just phoned my flatmate. Their conversation was all happy and normal and I could hear my flatmate saying "Yeah, I'm good. I was going to go out tonight but I think I'll stay in" like everything is normal and last night never happened (slamming doors, wailing and crying, smashing a mirror and throwing stuff around then later screaming at her mum to 'fuck off' and leave her alone), then saying "I love you too!" before hanging up the phone.
It seems that everything I said last night to her mother has gone in one ear and out the other and now it will continue to be MY problem.
Is there anything I can do?
I was planning on moving out at the end of July anyway and can't really move any sooner due to money issues etc
I have nowhere else to stay in the meantime.
My flatmate is very crafty at covering her tracks so from now on she will no doubt act 100% normal because she knows if I catch her again then she could end up being taken away so I can't phone the police or any medical professionals if she is keeping up the pretence of being normal.
I genuinely do not feel safe with her in the next room but her mum is burying her head in the sand and leaving me to deal with it and I am really frustrated that I'm being ignored and she's holding normal conversations with her daughter as if last night never happened.
My flatmate is also walking through the house whistling nonchalantly as she clears away the broken mirror shards as if everything is ok.
Help, please.
