how should one react to abuse being hurled from a moving vehicle?
tricky one this...i'd like us to come up with a consensus over what the general etiquette is, if possible...how best to walk away with even the slightest slither of pride/dignity/self-respect.
happened to me today.
couple of fun-loving, three-in-the-front manual labour type lads, in a van.
i was wearing my glasses, skinny jeans and carrying TWO books..so i was being pretty bloody provocative, tbf. you can't expect to get away with that on your average Essex pavement.
one leans out and laughs whilst doing some sort of wide-mouthed, floppy-armed, disability-insinuating lark in my direction.
it was going quite slow, so i had time to retort. the best my cabbage brain could come up with was one of those, arms wide open, 'come on' type gestures that those men men on CCTV do, and those characters in seminal British gang films.
anyway, this made them piss themselves even more, as i attempted to look threatening with two library books in one hand, and my satchel over my shoulder.
thoughts, then?
