Monday Football Thread.
United have another wobble, dropping points at home against a spirited Everton side who, all credit to them, don't roll over and have their bellies tickled as most of us expected they would. Some awful defending on show, from Rafael and Heitinga especially. Weirdly, United fans seems to be pointing to thier "lack of a midfield", with Michael Carrick getting quite a bit of stick especially. No need to get too carried away, though, it is still in their hands, and both sides will drop points along the way.
City see off Wolves, but get nowhere near the cricket score every expert and his dog predicts. Feel a bit for Terry Connor, truth be told. We now have an outside chance of the title, but nothing more than that. It'd still take a huge bottling from United and a superhuman effort ffrom us to beat both they and Newcastle, but nice to be playing a bit better again.
Arsenal and Chelsea Reserves bore the world for ninety minutes. Will RVP score again? Looking like he might not even finish as top scorer now.
Newcastle serve up yet more champagne football.
Liverpool get merked again.
Spurs' collapse continues. 6th beckons.
Fulham beat in-form Wigan.
Blackburn see of Norwich.
Villa and Sunderland share the spoils.
RVP rightly wins Player of the Year. Kyle Walker somehow gets the Young Player award. Madness.
Pompey and Coventry relegated, again.
Folk are stunned as 4th best player in the world Cristiano Ronaldo actually does something in a big game, as Real all but seal La Liga against latest "crisis club" Barca.
Juve race clear at the top of Serie A after jizzing on Roma.
Any other business?
