How close to the wire have you got with doing your Christmas shopping, and what did you end up buying?
Mine was 3pm on Christmas Eve in a small Northern town (had been travelling up there earlier in the day from London), and the only place left open was a Woolworths.
Everyone seemed to like their pick ‘n’ mix and DVDs though, so crisis averted.

about 4 years ago i went to town on chritmas eve, 8pm
fully expecting places to be open to capitalize on idiots like me who left it to the last minute. NOTHING was open, and the town was full of men walking around dazed and confused.

er don't watch the video just listen
I've never left it till Xmas Eve
But I usually go into town on the 24th anyway, wandering around all smug that you have all your presents sorted. Looking at the panic in people's eyes is great.
ive more presents to buy this year
not to mention my bf's birthday being a day after boxing day. double presents
oh
last year i hand made christmas presents. Made everyone a patchwork pillow thing. I was still sewing one of them on Christmas morning.
I get my mother to buy all my presents.
Then pay her back with money I recieve on xmas day. Past The Wire.
It can be a bit shit having your birthday around these times though.
If only that it reduces the reasons to have a big party at another point in the year.
My Mum's birthday is on Christmas Day (and she's called Carol - no joke), and my bro's birthday is on the 28th Dec.
Clearly they get separate presents from me for each occaision, and flowers for Mum obvs. I'm good like that, with the exception of 'Woolworth-gate'.
You mean
have I ever gotten involved in drug dealing or joined a special unit to bring down drug lords so that I could afford to but Christmas presents?
If so, then yes.
