surely one of, if not the best music program on television
which you probably do
JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COMPLY EXACTLY WITH YOUR TASTES EVERY WEEK. Lighten up guys, when it's at it's best it's pretty great.
when it's at its best...which is quite rare. Too much of it is often some sort of middle of the road dirge.
Jason Derulo and Pixie Lott and some girl band who toured with JLS every single week.
It's always an improvement.
4play, 360 sessions, rockfeedback presents, being N-dubz ...
but when he interviewed Carla Bruni, he came across like a teenager that had never seen a pair of breasts before. She is hot though, so fair play to him.
Or is it just bullshit?
When you appeared on Later¿ With Jools Holland recently, is it true you had an agreement that Jools wasn't allowed to do any 'boogie-woogie piano' on any of your songs?
Yes, we told the producers that. They were cool with it. I wouldn't have anybody messing about with The Fall's stuff, not just Jools.
People like to pretend he insists on playing piano with everyone. He doesn't. He sometimes plays piano with jazz combos or with an otherwise unaccompanied singer. He doesn't play with all your favourite obscure indie bands. Only the keyboard guy on David Letterman's show does that.
It's fine Jools, i'm still watching it.
totally messes with the vibe of this breakdown, then hits a wrong note just as the song's about to lift again, great stuff.
made both of their performances even better
sure you get weaker episodes, but I still actually discover new music from it, which is not to be sniffed at
Jools Holland is awful on every conceivable level.
olde time boogie woogie guest
world music/jazz act
nondescript solo acoustic bloke
are on Jools in a few weeks. Have that.
I like it!
He's a terrible man, really.
I may have to rethink my snobbery
