Do train prices get more expensive just because you're looking at them?
Go to book tickets, realise I've forgotten my nationalexpress.com password, wait for it to be sent through and by the time it arrives, all trains are at least £5 more expensive. How does this happen?
Someone here reckons its because the sites track what you are looking at and that if I try again later from a computer with a different IP address (which isn't an option, unfortunately), they'll be cheaper again. Sounds a bit mental.
