Fuck the bank holiday, this is where it's at.
Everyone considers themselves lucky to have witnessed the greatest team of our generation, and older folk tell us they're the greatest team ever as Barca outclass United at Wembley. This was the barca we all wanted to see; no diving, just utterly sublime football. Even their lifting of the trophy via Abidal oozed class. Messi continues to be Godlike and will go down as the greatest ever if he maitains this kind of form (he's 23, ffs). He also happens to be surrounded by an awesome set of players, with even the normally hateable Busquest coming to the party with a masterclass. More superlatives etc...
Prior to the CL final, the footballing fairytale that is Stevenage's rise through the leagues continued apace as they defeated Torquay at Old Trafford via a wonderful 1st half strike from John Mousinho. From the conference to League 1 in two years - Stevenage truly are a dream come true for football's purists. Great to watch, too.
Peterborough beat huddersfield in 7 mad second half minutes. Their chairman is really young. Everyone loves Barry Fry - i bet Anglia News have gone into meltdown.
Sepp Blatter will stand unopposed in the FIFA elections after he's cleared by the organisation's ethics committee. Hooray! His rival is suspended alongside Touty Jacky Warner. Can some of the 'bigger' FAs not just leave FIFA please?
Berbatov to leave united. We'll probably re-sign him for £10m.
Robbie Keane is now on 49 goals for ROI. Impressive. After his successful spell at West Ham and assisting in their relegation, this is turning into a surprisingly decent few weeks for the lad. He may return to Celtic shorlty by all accounts.
