If the first moon landing happened nowadays...? (vaguely Royal Wedding related I suppose)
I'm always quite envious of previous generations' alledged I-remember-what-I-was-doing-when.... moments, and the whole shared experience of major events - even so much as the days when everyone left the pub to go watch Morecambe & Wise, despite this obviously a big exaggeration.
It doesn't seem we get a much of this these days for all sorts of reasons so my question is as follows:
If we'd never landed on the moon and it was to happen nowadays (or any any other major event of its type I suppose) would you:
a) glue yourself to the telly, arrange a moon-landing party, generally be massively excited about it
b) plan to maybe sky+ it/watch it on iplayer later/check out the highlights if the end up getting eaten my monsters or something
c) have no interest as it doesn't effect your day to day life in any way
d) moan about how many schools/hospitals/etc we could have built for that money
Please show your working.
