mymiddlenameaintthor and aboynamedgoo proudly present the official announcement for the biggest match in the history of DiS Football: a team representing the North versus a team representing the South. In May, in Manchester, on a real grass pitch.
The place where we’ll be playing has full changing rooms and showers available on the site. It's the Manchester University sports centre and about 20 mins by bus from the centre of town.
There may be a DiS-branded event in town afterwards (details t.b.c.), Sean Adams has promised us some money to buy a few pints post-match, and we’ll have an official MOTM award presentation with a medal or a trophy or suchlike.

THE NORTH TEAM
===============
This team will consist of a core of Aaron (i.e. mymiddlenameaintthor) and his mates, who play for a regular, existing team. However, you can play for this team too, and if you want to do so add your name below and you’ll be fitted in accordingly. There is a charge of £5 per player to cover pitch hire.
It may be worth turning up to one or more of the training sessions of this team over the coming weeks, so you’ll know the other lads and see how you can fit in.

THE SOUTH TEAM

In other words: a selection of the people who play in the usual London matches. The plan is to travel by train from Euston station to Manchester on Saturday morning around 9 AM, and be back in London on Sunday afternoon around 4 PM, so that after our match we can explore the delights of Manchester and its many fine hostelries. A centrally located place to stay overnight has been recommended. The approx. cost of this trip is as follows: £45 for the train, £25 for the hostel and £5 for the pitch. If you want to play for this team, add your name below and I will contact you to get some pre-payment from you, as the train tickets and the hostel need to be booked fairly soon.
Obviously, if you want to travel on your own to Manchester, return to London immediately after the match, or stay with friends, then you’re more than welcome to make your own arrangements.
Come on, you know you want to. Put your name down below promptly.
