London transport question/help...
So I live in south London at the moment and have to travel to Stratford to get a train for work. At the moment I just get the DLR from deptford and it costs me £1.80 (or is it £1.90) these days? It takes me 3-5 min, if that, to walk to the DLR station from my flat, nice and easy. I have to move out of my current flat in a month so am looking for places elsewhere though finding anywhere in New Cross/Greenwich that is close to the DLR is proving quite hard and restrictive. I have a long commute as it is and can't be dealing with getting a bus or a long walk first thing in the morning to so I'm looking at other possibilities.
One of these possibilities is to get a train from New Cross or New Cross Gate and then get onto the tube at Canada Water to Stratford. Would this cost me two fares? One for the Train and then one for the Tube. I'm pretty sure this is the case, so I would essentially be paying double what I am now to get to Stratford...? Just checking I wouldn't be able to Swipe in at New Cross Strain Stations, change onto the tube and then swipe out at Stratford just paying one fair...
Secondly how reliable is the Jubilee line? The DLR is pretty reliable though have heard more than once that the Jubilee line gets bad delays....
