Shared Web Hosting (advice please -centric).
To host the following no-traffic sites: A couple or three vanity URLs (little more than holding pages + email redirecting). One or two community sites with a CMS of some sort. One not-shop site that might become a shop. Maybe some other insignificant domains.
Some of these sites already exist (on old skool 'free' dial-up webspace, or on a friend's hosting). Some don't exist yet. My ideal would probably be to host them all under one account (unless there's a reason not to, it just seems like it'd be the cheapest way, all told).
Fasthosts, 1&1 and 123-Reg seem to be major players, but don't quite hit the spot (there seems to be too many add-ons and exceptions for someone hosting a few domains).
I was looking more closely at Zen, Heart Internet & eUKhost, but they don't quite seem ideally suited/priced for hosting a few pissy little sites under one account.
Last night I came across UK2, and they seem to be offering what I want. £2.95pm, which will host up to 10 separate sites, gives you a free domain, and a database. So not much missing, but their £5.95pm option is still quite cheap and fills in a lot of gaps if I wanted to step up a notch. Their domain registration prices seem reasonable, too.
