Weekend Football Thread
Avram has been sacked, to be replaced by Martin O'Neill. Pretty disgraceful from the Daves, who got bored of waiting for Uncle Avi to have a bad enough run to justify his removal. West Ham fans can expect long balls aplenty
West Ham take on Arsenal in the least furious of the 4 big derbies this weekend. The Hammers normally look decent against the Gunners, but still end up losing in the end. I fancy a drawer today though. Liverpool should feel the "Return of The King" effect as Kenneth makes a triumphant return to Anfield. You'd expect them to win, since their home record is pretty immense (well done Woy), but we're all hoping they lose eh. Sunderland should be beating Newcastle at home, but i thought that in the reverse fixture and we know how that one turned out. The Birmingham derby is always absolutely gash, doubt i'll bother. 1-0 to Birmingham
The big non derby tie is the visit of Man United to Spurs. If they don't get beaten here then i don't know when they will. In fact, if Spurs don't beat them they are virtually handing them the title. Spurs will play well, go ahead, then collapse in a panic stricken (possibly refereeing decision related) mess.
City play Wolves at home. Looking forward to seeing Dzeko in the flesh, hopefully with a debut goal. Chelsea v Blackburn. Meh
Robbie Keane is off to Birmingham. Steve Pienaar is off to somewhere. Inter Milan are lining up a £17 million bid for Gareth Barry. No, i didn't make that last one up (the BBC did)
