Friday Football Thread
Morning all,
Time for talk about football. It's nearly 10am after all.
Frank Lampard states the bleeding obvious by saying that Chelsea are lacking belief ahead of their match with Blackburn tomorrow.
Scott Carson has been dropped by Bob Di Matteo ahead of West Brom's match with Blackpool - Boaz Myhill takes the gloves.
Man City take on Wolves, Stoke and Bolton in what 18 months ago would have been a blood and thunder long ball derby, Wigan meet Fulham in a bit of a 6 pointer and West Ham take on Arsenal looking to extend their decent run.
In fact, following Cesc's comments about 'rugby kicks' and long ball football, I hope Avram asks his centre halves to make sure the ball comes down with snow on more often than not.
Norwich v Cardiff looks the pick of the games in the 2nd tier (Come on you Canaries), whilst Chris Powell takes Charlton to Hillsbrough in the big League 1 match. With any luck, Chesterfield will take Stevenage down a peg or two in League 2 and push Graham Westley a little closer to insanity.
Hendon take on Tooting & Mitcham, thankfully the signing of Dan Sintim on loan from Woking means we have a fit centre half for the first time since about 1996. The game will probably end up being called off.
Was noch?
