itunes question
filled my 80GB ipod classic with wav files four years ago. Bought a 160gb ipod classic to start catching up with adding stuff which has been bought in the past four years
downloaded itunes tonight to start putting on cds prior to the ipod arriving (I'm listening to everything on the original ipod in a linear way, from start to finish rather than random or choosing tracks, this has been frowned upon in some quarters and I probably won't start listening to the new ipod until I finish the old one which still has over 1000 tracks to go)
anyways, started trying to put a library of songs together tonight using apple lossless. I was working on photos from an external hardrive though and there's a folder on this drive with 120GB of songs saved as WAV from my cds. Itunes imported this, I don't want these on the new ipod so I removed itunes and reinstalled it but it imported this folder again. I rightclick deleted it but when I used the hard drive again itunes imported the folder again. I now seem to have no way to delete it and trying to import anything for the new ipod is pointless as it's all getting mixed up with this stuff which is already on my old ipod
help an old wino out, is there any way to just delete all this from itunes (again) and start with a clean slate for the new ipod ?
