Forest, or "dealing with your team just sort of fading to dust, and finding it hard to muster enthusiasm from that point onwards".
When I was about 13 years old, in the middle of an ecstatic crowd watching Pierre Van Hooijdonk tearing us through the first division, I remember this immense feeling of pride. Chris Bart Williams shook my hand after a 3-0 Wolves hammering and Steve Stone, it turned out, knew my dad and took us for a pint.
In fact, right from early memories, I can remember being excited about Forest.
And then the money fell out, and the heroes buggered off, and for a fair while I still went out to watch and kept an eye on the results on telly, hoping for a renaissance.
And then at some point I just went a bit numb, and realised we'd likely never make a come back. Still occasionally checked the scores to read things like Rotherham-Forest 5-0.
And now we're on the precipice of a comeback and I don't care as much as I want to. Sad times.
Have you had to watch your team spiral into shit for a long, long time? DOES IT FEEL SHIT?
