Guys, do you know Daniel Kitson has finally announced...
a tour of The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
London run TBA and if you want tickets for the Manchester show the Royal Exchange are only selling them over the phone.
Email shiz below...
So this show, is a show i first performed in the edinburgh festival in 2009, in the smaller room at the traverse theatre. On one night of the run Jeremy Paxman came and he only slept for about ten minutes, which means he was wide awake for 80. The stats are definately in my favour. Anyway, i love this show. I think it is both funny and sad and different to my other theatrical story shows in a couple of interesting ways. But it is a story, not stand up.
Here is the blurb.

The Interminable Suicide Of Gregory Church
Written and Performed by Daniel Kitson.
Fringe First Winner -2009
Gregory had fifty seven letters to write. He’d never written that many letters, not in one go. In fact, he’d never written a single letter and it was taking significantly longer than he’d anticipated. He’d started, full of optimism, curiously enough, at 9 am and now here he was 8 hours later half way through letter twenty four. He glanced at his watch and then at the noose hanging over his head.
Gregory sighed.
Had he known how long suicide letters take, he thought, he wouldn’t have cancelled the milk for the morning.
The story of a death postponed by life.
“An inspired fictional anecdote that flowers into an unobtrusive masterpiece of modern low-key storytelling…funny, poignant, richly observant”
The Scotsman

So, there we are, i hope there is somewhere you can get to. I know its a bit frustrating with the gaps about when stuff will be onsale. its just that lots of stuff goes on sale now and i didnt want you missing out whilst i waited for a complete list. Some of the theatres started tweeting about the dates and that seemed unfair on you good people. Speaking of twitter, if you're on twitter or some such and you want to tweet about this, please do what you can to make the nature of the show clear. That it's a story and not stand up. If you could refrain from using the phrase "MEGALOLZ" or "BESTEST COMIDIAN EVA!!!!" or "I SAW HIM IN 2002 AND HE WAS WELL FUNNY" that would be much appreciated.
So, that's about everything. One final bit of news. Gavin Osborn and myself are, somehow, going to be supporting Belle and Sebastian on their uk tour, someone saw the stories we did at latitude and seems to have enjoyed them so Me and Gav are going to write a special story and song thing for the tour, it will be about 35 minutes long and will be the opening of the night, So there you go, i think all the dates are full, but if you already have tickets, get there early if you fancy a story.
We aren't doing the ireland dates or the glasgow ones, but all the others we're on for.
