things wot i've watched this week that were shit. (a general film/telly thread)
apart from a fix of mad men and american office every week (and the trip was decent) it feels like an age since i've watched anything really amazing on film or telly.
here are this week's main culprits.
1. the walking dead. what a pile of horseshit. clunky and cliched and dull and lifeless (arf, arf) and boring, boring, boring. there are SO many interesting things you could do with this concept, and it didn't even seem to want to try.
2. a recent episode of how i met your mother. i seemed to have missed the memo about this programme becoming one of the most egregious television shows ever created. i have such fond memories of the first two series being tucked away on bbc2, and now it's morphed into something quite disgusting.
3. public enemies. had to switch off after the first fifteen minutes because depp is such a fucking ham joint.
'hey...johnny...hows about you play an actual character instead of some generic cool gangstery bloke who says cool things and such, and is a bit naughty but also a bit nice....HE GIVE THE LADY A COAT! HE NOT STEAL POOR PEOPLE MONEY...SWOON!'
billy crudup looked like he might've been interesting as J. Edgar Hoover, but i couldn't be bothered to find out. probably as bad as mesrine.
anyway...
pretty pointless thread, this.
i'm hoping that i'll watch 'another year' and have my faith restored.
