Publishing world elects to learn nothing from MP3s in the world of EBooks

So it seems that if you browse any books by a certain section of publishers on Amazon you'll find the Kindle price is now locked at the RRP, meaning it's probably more expensive to buy the DRM'd paperless version than the hardback.
While you can't just pick up a book and scan it in for your e-book reading pleasure there are a LOT of hooky copies of books out there and a lot of people who've just bought e-readers thanks to knock down prices but who (naturally enough) will be thinking it's a bit ridiculous to pay the full hardback price for a book when you don't really even get to own it.
Fantastic work.
