Good win for England last night, controlled the game well against a decent, if unambitious, home side in tricky conditions. Lescott and Jagielka looked very solid together, A Johnson was excellent and a cracking finish from Bent.
Wright-Phillips surely ended his international career last night.
Somehow Walcott's ankle injury isn't too bad, it looked like a season-ender, but he could be back in a fortnight. He's still got a lot to learn if he's going to make it at Arsenal...
Elsewhere, Argentina humped Spain who, according to the reports I've read, actually played fairly well and hit the post 3 times.
Scotchland edge some non-league side with a late, late, late goal.
France follow up their home humiliation at the hands of Belarus with a very credible 2-0 win in Bosnia. Crazy frogs.
Portugal bring the LOLs by following up their 4-4 against Cyprus with an equally funny 1-0 loss to Norway.
Jack 'future of English football' Wilshere comes off the bench to inspire the U21s to a comfortable win that ensures them of at least a place in the play-offs for the Euros.
Toshack to resign as Wales boss before the weekend. Fingers crossed for Hartson.
3 days till club football returns. Thank fuck. Who's taken the plunge and played their wildcard during the break?
