Speedway World Cup! - a second thread
For obvious reasons, I thought I'd create a second thread on the same subject.
Denmark, Sweden, Russia and Australia all line up for the race-off tonight in Vojens, with the top two teams progressing to the final at the same venue this weekend against Poland and GB. Russia are probably the weakest of the four, especially without Sayfudtinov. I imagine the Aussies are still without Jason Crump, and if the Swedes put out the same team as they did the other night for their heat then they too are going to find things difficult.
I think therefore that on home turf the Danes will pick up the win tonight, and that they'll be joined by the Aussies who are slightly stronger without their best rider than the Swedes are without theirs. I'd recommend waiting to see the lineup before you pop in to Billy Hills, there is a chance that Andreas Jonsson could be back for the start.
