what does your mind do when you watch films?
like, do you just purely think about the plot and what's happening and let yourself be IMMERSED and all that? and then think about how good or bad it was afterwards? this would be ideal and proper and stuff huh
i went to see inception last night and kinda came to the realisation that for ages now that i'm a horrible person thinking throughout "that was good", "that was awful" etc etc etc, pretty much summarising my thoughts in my head before the film had finished and barely before it started. like instead of taking it at face value for what it was (pretty good) i doing a horrible arrogant fuckhead thing of like "i really really wish it was like this, and it did this, and lance reddick was there" etc.
it's probably the worst way to watch films i reckon and you'd think it'd make me think everything was rubbish, as it should, but i still enjoy stuff every so often.
i think i've started doing it with gigs too it's horrible
what AM i like, eh?
