Did anyone see this on his tour, or at Edinburgh a couple of years ago?
Really quite wonderful. It's prefectly pitched and strikes just the right tone between sentimentality and mawkishness, delicate wordplay and fraternal banter, and contains insights and perceptions into the human character that have a depth beyond anything I've seen or read in a long time. It's also, blisteringly, heart-breakingly funny.
It's only on for another two nights at the New Players' Theatre in London, but you might be able to get a ticket or a return. I'd even go so far as to say that missing the England game was worth it.
