MasterChef Finals Week thread
Because this competition JAAAAAAAAAHST GETS TAFFA.
The trip to India was a bit silly, but that's what we want from the finals. The way they shot the breakfast challenge made it look as if they were going to be cooking for a massive courtyard full of unspecified local dignitaries, so it was a bit wierd that they ended up serving two small tables of folk. No clear winner here, Dhruv maybe loses a bit of ground with his timing.
The school dinners challenge was a good one, always fun to see people charging around with massive metal cooking pots while we're secretly hoping they'll take a corner too wide and release a molten curry tidal wave. A couple of small mistakes by Dhruv, Alex probably came out of that looking best. But where was the *spicing*?
The Maharaja was a dull, dull man, and even the editing couldn't smooth over a series of awkward silences and pointless statements. In general the only thing we learned was that all the finalists are pretty damn capable this year, and that sorbet tends to melt in hot climates. Probably advantage Dhruv on this one.
Now that Tim's started speaking more and stopped just looking like the Tragedy mask, he has revealed himself to be a bit odd, but endearing. Probably the one who needs to up his game the most.
I'm still saying it'll go to Alex, any other predictions?
