Anyone else been SPECTACULARLY let down by their university?
1st year: Studying Philosophy. My Director of Studies was the most disorganised wench in the history of everything. I applied for special circumstances and she never did anything about it, leaving me with crappy marks.
2nd year: Apply to change degree to German and Philosophy. Told I had to have changed by the previous May (this didn't happen because of my crappy DoS). Eventually changed, missed a load of classes because of it. Told by the university that they've forgotten to find me a place at a German university, so I can't go abroad. January, apply to change me degree back, told I can't because I haven't got enough Phil credits. Tell them that I HAVE NO FREAKIN' CHOICE because they're so disorganised. Don't make up their mind until JULY.
3rd year: TWICE enroll me in classes that clash with each other. End up having to drop a first semester class and take an extra one in the second semester, and drop another one. End up doing classes I have no background knowledge in whatsoever. Apply for my dissertation, proposal gets rejected. Apply again. Am told it's rejected due to shortage of staff. I've spent 3 months researching this, and they've told me the DAY BEFORE I go home that I have to do it again?
...and I'm PAYING for this???
