Leeds lose 2-0 at home to Milwall in the only league game last night, Patrick Kisnorbo doing his Achilles in the process. Another one to miss the world cup. Maybe he and Beckham can comfort each other.
Just when you thought Newcastle had put all this stuff behind them, Stephen Taylor ends up in hospital following a training ground bust up with Andy Carroll. Rumour has it that he's got a broken jaw and will miss what's left of the season.
Arsenal appeal Vermaelen's red card and Tim Cahill makes his return in the reserves following his blood clot in January.
FA Chief Exec Ian Watmore resigns. Pretty damning that I'd never heard of him until yesterday, but not a good sign for the FA.
The Premier League increase parachute payments to a total of £48m over four year; two years at £16m and two at £8m. To put that into context, Watford are currently run on about £8m for the season.
The Premier League want to speak to Portsmouth about various rule breaches over the season, mostly to do with late payments of wages and transfer fees. Meanwhile, an unnamed businessman declares his interest in buying the club on a debt free basis. Ahem.
Calgari agree to refund all fans after their 2-0 defeat to Lazio at the weekend. Something seems horribly wrong about typing that... once upon a time you'd expect Lazio to win that.
I'm sure there's some football around tonight. Feel free to discuss that and stuff.
