'Collar Robber' Ruined Our Saturday For An Hour
The peace of a Saturday afternoon was shattered for a Nottingham couple as a juvenille prank spiralled out of control. The sick face of Broken Britain reared its ugly head and showed its true colours in a sickening display of sick, broken ugliness.
STRIPPED
Suspicions were aroused when the couple returned home in the early hours of Saturday morning to find their cats waiting outside - something they would never normally be doing.
"We'd expect them to be asleep at that time, curled up in their cat beds" said the couple. A quick investigation revealed that both cats had been stripped of their collars, including the magnetic device that opens the cat flap.
FEAR
The couple admit to being a little too drunk to care at the time. A preventative lock of the cat-flap ensured the cats were locked in for the night, not out. After minutes of sleeplessness, caused by the fear of possible cat shit in shoes, the couple slept soundly - unaware of what would await them the next day.
WRETCHED ESCAPADE
Between the hours of 11am and 12pm the following day, the couple were forced to undergo a mildly-hungover trip to Pets At Home, in search of replacement collars and magnets. The whole wretched escapade took nearly a full hour and new collars were fitted shortly afterwards. Still unable to discuss it fully, the couple have described their current state as "mostly unaffected" and "a bit confused by it all"
