okay, so someone owes me money
and it's not a lot, £25, but it's pissing me off and here's why. We all hired a car and drove down to a mutual friends wedding, had an awesome time. This was 3 months ago by the way. Upon return the other 3 passengers made no big deal of it, split the cost of car + petrol and just put it on top of my fridge (as to avoid the awkward exchange of money between friends? who knows, who cares) anyhoo, jackass friend exclaims "huh! we're not all on a teacher's salary" and doesnt pay, and then promptly ignores me for about 2 months. Now, i should've said something at that point, should have contacted perhaps, but I was of the notion that " if you lend someone some momey and never see them again, it's money well spent" and to be truthful the guy was an awful pain in the arse, would basically invite himself round every week and play bass terribly while i played guitar. The reason i got myself in this mess is because i am a doormat and never had the stones to tell him he plays bass horribly and that i don't want to spend every wednesday with him, but he had split up with his girlfriend and he was kind of a loner.
Anyhoo, i saw him at a party at halloween and implied that i hadn't forgot about the money he owed me (by the way, he is by no stretch short of money) and he got all "no need to be like that"
THEN he brings round some shit christmas presents and looks all pissed when i give him, errr, nothing. Do i just never mention the money again? He rings occasionally to go for a drink and i just ignore phonecalls. Truth be told i'm glad to not have to see the douche, but i don't want him having moral high ground and i want him to know that. Gah. what would you do?
