Cheesy tourists are really annoying when they graffiti the tube
Not that I give two shits and a fuck about the tube posters being defaced, it's just you KNOW when you read some scrawling that could only come from a Union Jack-Jester-hatted continental exchange student.
Admittedly I've only seen two in my life, but the second being today prompted me to start this thread.
So...3 years ago or so...there's a poster for a winter break somwhere: you know the type...something along the lines of "escape the hustle and bustle of the working week" but done with a pun somewhere on some kind of facet of the average working day.
Anyway the picture was of someone relaxing on a sun lounger, gazing at the crystal blue sea in front of them. Pretty standard stuff.
Now, someone had taken it upon themselves to scrawl the following, in a thought bubble emanating from their temple.
"Peace at LAST"
FFS...WHY...why would you fucking bother. Anyways, it stuck with me for a while, and waddayaknow I was in a zone 2 LU lift today that featured a poster advertising "Hairspray" with Phil Jupitus in De'Vine's role.
Anyway, there was a review to the effect of "Simply the best musical in town...a must"
And someone had written in biro:
"THAT'S RITE!" and then drawn a sassy little sketch of a cartoon rabbit face WINKING.
THAT'S RITE! [RABBIT FACE WINKING]
