Sainsbury's lunch review
I have generally given Sainsbury's a wide berth when venturing on my lunch time scouting missions. The sandwiches are awful - rubbery chicken, fatty bacon and soggy bread.
The saving grace of the larger stores had been fresh rotisserie chicken, a decent salad bar and freshly baked bread.
Today when looking at the ready meal aisle, i noticed their heat and stir range: They come in clear plastic tubs with a film lid, and come in a range of food styles, including mediterranean vegetable penne, and paella.
I went for the hoi sin duck noodles today, and they were really good. Plenty of shredded duck, peppers, chinese leaf, along with some firm and thing egg noodles. Pierce film lid and heat for 4 minutes back at the office.
At £3.49, it's a slightly pricey, but comforting lunch time meal.
