Generic iTunes/iPod Help Thread
Hi. I've had some troubles with my iTunes recently and though I've done some online research which may provide the answer (the method described on here > http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=797426) I thought I'd throw it open and see if any DiSers had any other ideas what I can do.
Basically, I was listening on iTunes on my laptop when an error message came up saying it wouldn't be able to save my current library. I close iTunes then reopen it to find its blank, no music or anything. I reopen it again, but this time do so in the way which allows you to select which library file to use. I select the most recent library and still the same result. I notice the library file was created the same time the error messages came up. Any other previous library files are months out of date so not much use.
Now, I've not lost any music - its all on an external hard drive, as well as my iPod itself - but having to import it all into iTunes and then onto my iPod itself will be a massive pain, as well as losing play counts and playlists etc.
Is there any way of retrieving the library file off my iPod back onto my iTunes or am I screwed? Cheers y'all.
