David Haye r WBA Heavywieght Champion
I'm sure there's been some thread action about this over the weekend, but here's one for the workers.
David Haye was superb on Saturday night - his discipline and the execution of his tactics were something else. At the time, i was a little concerned that he hadn't done enough, especially with Jim Watt airing his hate for haye by saying he had him losing the fight. Looking back though, there was no way valuev even came close to winning - he connected with only one semi-meaningful punch, and was made to miss again and again. Haye, on the other han, made his punches with power and accuracy (especially in the 12th, and with a damaged hand), and was the deserving victor. Kudos to him.
For those wanting a more visible demonstration of his power, make sure you check him out against Ruiz in March next year (probably in Lodnon). Good times.
In conclusion: Don King came across as a slightly mad old man on saturday.
