masterchef thread
pretty poor bunch last night. the last bit of the first heat wasn't much of an improvement on the previous night - lurch and pastry face were not much worse than the one who got through, but i'm glad he got through. a fairly even bunch though.
the main heat was pretty chaotic. the quarter finalist (who can't be 28 - surely?) made hot milk instead of custard but probably deserves to go through. mr sandhurst disappointed me - i was expecting more from his classics. and the other guy didn't even manage to finish half his food.
which begs the question - are the contestants just randomly pitted together in the same heats? or do they try to space out the better and worse cooks? the difference in quality between the heats is pretty large.
