Ted Kennedy, then.
Sure, the Lion of Liberalism blah blah blah and I'm sure most of us can agree with much of what he stood for...civil rights, workers rights, universal healthcare provision, gender equality, etc, but can any of that really compensate for the fact that he left a young woman to die in a submerged car whilst he fled from the scene, failing to fetch help or to alert the authorities?
Could any politician in this country ever survive such despicable moral cowardice, regardless of their surname?
