Someone's done one of these by now, haven't they?
Wins for Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal leave all three with 100% records, while Manchester United bounce back from their mid-week defeat with a 5-0 mauling of Wigan. Burnley themselves continue to surprise with a 1-0 win over Everton.
Cardiff go top of the Championship with a 3-0 win yesterday, just ahead of the three relegated sides from last season. Newcastle continue to defy expectations, having now won three on the trot - I may have to take back what I said about them pre-season. At the other end, Reading's miserable start to the season continues with a 3-1 defeat by Sheffield United.
Charlton and Leeds head League One with 100% records, while a point for Southampton at home to Brentford lifts them to 11 points from safety. In League 2, Notts County win again - no doubt to mock me for backing them midweek - to stay top. Darlington stay pointless.
Outside England, Celtic, Rangers and Hibs all have 6 points, Rangers having come back from being 1-0 down and having had a man sent off to take the points at Herts and Celtic mauling St. Johnstone 5-2.
Joleon Lescott's on/off deal to move to Eastlands is now a 'done deal', with just the medical to get through.
Hendon lost 2-1 to Sutton thanks to a last minute goal. Draw would have been fair, but I'm not going to begrudge them all three points - over 90 minutes they just about shaded the game.
