describe your "school play"
or whatever it is that you had as an equivalent.
last night i went to my mums (no, she is the teacher) and it was amazing. little shop of horrors performed by 6-10 year olds. highlights for me included:
none of the main singers being able to sing in tune, ESPECIALLY on the high notes. i think "mr mushnick" was actually singing a different song to what the band were playing.
an 8 year old in drag (high heels and hot pants). "he wanted to wear it" apparently. worrying and hilarious at the same time.
one of the "dancers" just standing still on stage throughout an entire routine looking confused and lost. and annoyed.
the 6 year olds doing a dance number. bless their little socks. and ties. and hair gel.
ALL of the boys were wearing a lot of make up.
when the lead girl got eaten by the plant, her little sister, who was sitting in the front row, started crying cos she thought she had actually been eaten alive. the kid sister had also been trying to talk to "audrey" whenever she was onstage and wondering why she wasnt replying.
the person operating the plant being visible the whole way through the show.
this was all enjoyed from a front row seat. a seat designed to be sat on by a 7 year old. both the entire left and right hand sides of my body were touching the person next to me. and my knees were touching the stage. all i could mainly see was childrens legs. luckily it was only about 40°C in there.
all in all 10/10. wouldnt watch again.
yours?
