I made PESTO last night...
Shut up and listen.
It all started when i saw Hugh Fearnley at the Taste Festival in Edinburgh a few weeks back. He was banging on about making pesto with all kinds of different fucking ingredients and how you shouldn't think of it as just some kind of basil/pine nuts-dominated type shit. He said any green herb/nut combination is all good.
So...yesterday i chopped shitloads of basil, marjoram and some fucking strong rocket before combining it with garlic, olive oil, parmesan cheese and mother-fucking PECAN NUTS. I was pushing pesto to the fucking edge. I blended it all together and HEY PESTO! What a result. It's the best fucking pesto i've ever tasted. I've got loads left in my fridge if anyone wants any. Fuck off.
