Baby seagull DRAMA
Yesterday, a baby seagull appeared in my block of flats’ carpark. It must have fallen out of its nest or something. It can’t fly yet, so it can’t really go anywhere. The mum seagull keeps coming back to check if it’s okay. I asked my mate what to do, as he works in a vet, and he was saying that if the mum’s about then it’s got a better chance of surviving than if it’s hand-reared, so basically just leave it be. But, the ‘mum’ (when she’s about) has started getting really territorial and swooping at anyone in the carpark; which is a bit annoying as it’s basically the main entrance in and out of the building. Actually it’s worse than annoying, because I’ve recently developed a ‘slight’ phobia of seagulls (mainly that they will swoop at me and peck my face off).
At one point some other seagull came and tried to kill it! But the baby hid under the bins, and the other seagull got bored and flew away.
I would quite like to have the use of my carpark back now please.
I really hate seagulls.
