Man Utd look increasingly likely to become the first side to win the Premier League for three years running before Liverpool next kick a ball following their 2-0 victory over Man City. Carlos Tevez scored the second amind rumours that he will be either a City, Chelsea, Real Madrid or (according to somewhat dubious reports emerging this morning) Spurs player in a month's time.
Despite looking the more likely in the first twenty minutes yesterday, Arsenal had their worst league home defeat in something like 30 years inflicted upon them yesterday by Chelsea, capping a miserable week by losing 4-1. Four things of note for me in that game: 1) Malouda actually is fantastic when he's up for it, 2) it was disgraceful just how quickly Arsenal's heads went down, 3) Theo Walcott currently seems to have nothing but pace going for him and 4) Wenger (not unlike a Chelsea player or two, admittedly) needs to learn when to shut his mouth. There was only one dive yesterday and it wasn't Drogba who was responsible for it.
Celtic more or less hand over the SPL to Rangers, Shrewsbury win a penalty shootout to condemn Bury to another season in the bottom tier and a late penalty sees Burnely take home advantage against Reading.
Ledley King caps a great week for footballers by drunkenly disgracing himself. Can all the Spurs fans who have torn into Terry beofre please leave the forum?
Honeslty, if it wasn't for Pantsil's AMAZING lap of honour yesterday, I think I'd have fallen out of love with footballers. Brilliant stuff.
