Buying a laptop (advice-centric)
I'm looking to buy a laptop soon to replace my dying desktop, which now struggles to do even the most basic tasks like me typing without having a seizure.
Trouble is i've never had a laptop before, and don't know what key things i should be looking for, which makes are good/bad, what a dual-core processor is and if i should be excited about having one, etc etc
So - with a budget of around £400 what should i be getting? And wheres the best place to find good deals?
KEY THINGS I THINK I WANT:
- Biggish screen so the jump from desktop to laptop isnt too noticeable
- Good amount of RAM (2-3Gb)
- 150-300 Gb hard drive
- Not bothered about gaming etc, so graphics card not important.
also should i be concerned about buying Vista? is it still shit or does it work well now? aren't they bringing out a new windows soon?
THANKS PPEPS
